About this effect
The Neon look is picked: a magenta light on the left and a cyan light on the right, both in front of the subject, with the Overall light turned down so the colours stand out. Drag either light to move it, or choose it in the list of lights to change its Colour.
Questions people ask
Can I use other neon colours?
Yes. Choose a light in the list of lights and pick another Colour, or any colour you like. Add light gives you one more light, up to 6.
Can the neon glow only behind me?
Yes. Choose a light in the list of lights and drag Depth towards Behind. In the hatched part the light sits behind you, so only the background glows in its colour.
Is my photo uploaded?
Yes, a small copy of it, at most 1024 pixels across, goes to our server as soon as you open it, to work out its shape. The server holds the copy only in memory and deletes it as soon as the shape is sent back. It is never stored or logged, and never used for anything else. Your full-size photo stays on your device, and the light is drawn in your browser.
