A quick edit, one tool at a time

Many people search for a “free video editor no watermark” and expect one app with a timeline. These video tools work another way: each one does a single job, and together they cover most quick edits. A usual order looks like this:

  1. Trim a video to keep the part you want. Its Remove parts choice takes pieces out of the middle too.
  2. Merge videos to join several clips into one, in the order you choose.
  3. Crop video to cut away the edges, or resize a video for TikTok, Instagram or YouTube.
  4. Add text to a video for a caption or a title, or Burn in subtitles from an SRT or VTT file.
  5. Change volume, or add audio to a video for music or a voice-over.
  6. Compress video last, for example to compress a video for WhatsApp, email or Discord.

When a tool finishes with one video, the “Keep going with this video” cards suggest a next tool and open the new video in it, so there is nothing to save and reopen in between. That way a few tools in a row work like a simple video editor online free of charge. What you do not get is a timeline with several tracks for cutting a long film together.

Free, with no watermark and nothing uploaded

Every tool here is free to use, with no account, no sign-up and no trial. Nothing marks the video you save: a logo or a caption appears only when you put it there yourself with Add a watermark or Add text.

You can edit video online free as often as you like. There is no limit on how many videos you run, and video tools do not count towards the free daily limit, which applies only to document conversions.

Each tool opens your file in this tab, makes the new file on your device and saves it there. Your footage never reaches our servers, which makes this a private video editor by design: there is nothing of yours for us to keep or delete.

Browsers and file sizes

This is a browser video editor in the plainest sense: the video is read, changed and saved inside the page. The tools work in current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

Most videos have no file size limit. A few files, such as some AVI or WMV videos, take longer and can be up to 2 GB. Once you choose a file, the tool tells you before you start: “Fast, on this device. Nothing uploaded”, or “Slower for this file, on this device”.

Convert video saves MP4, WebM, MOV or MKV, and Merge videos saves one MP4. Because your own device does the work, a long video takes as long as that device needs.

Video tool questions

Is there really no watermark?

Yes. Nothing is added to your video unless you add it yourself, for example your logo with Add a watermark or a caption with Add text. The file you save carries no Whatafile mark.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no account to make and nothing to install. Open a tool, choose a video and save the new file.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Each tool opens your file in this tab, makes the new file on your device and saves it there. The video is never sent to our servers.

Is there a file size limit?

Not for most videos. A few files, such as some AVI or WMV videos, take longer and can be up to 2 GB; for Merge videos that is 2 GB for all the clips together.

Which browsers do the video tools work in?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Once you choose a file, each tool shows whether it will be fast or slower for that file.

Can I join several clips into one video?

Yes. Merge videos joins several clips into one MP4, in the order you choose. Clips that match join without re-encoding; clips of different sizes are converted to the size of the first one.
